Abstract

The golden standard of peritoneal carcinomatosis treatment is cytoreductive surgery (CRS) in combination with a hyperthermal intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). However, in lack of carcinomatosis there still was appliance of HIPEC as an adjuvant therapy reducing the risks of peritoneal metastatic spread. Novel method of pressurized aerosol intraperitoneal chemotherapy (PIPAC) allowed, while use less drug doses and it ability for repeating procedures, to reduce disseminated process to local as a first step to performing CRS and HIPEC. It still remains an interesting problem for the discussion.
