Abstract
Schwannomas are nerve sheath tumors, and 20–40% of all schwannomas are seen in the head and neck regions. Intraparotid facial nerve shwannoma involving the deep lobe of parotid are uncommon. The preoperative diagnosis of intraparotid facial nerve lesion is difficult when the facial nerve is normal. We present here a case of intaparotid schwannoma arising from the lower buccal branch of facial nerve and mainly involving the deep lobe of the parotid gland.
