Abstract

Background: Hyperthermic Chemotherapy is well established now in surgical oncology the management of peritoneal surface malignancy, intrathoracic pleural malignancy and even in hyperthermic isolated limb perfusion. Benefits are attributed to high local concentration of administered drug and reduced systemic toxicity with hyperthermia increasing the effect of the chemotherapeutic agent.
