Abstract
Pemphigus vulgaris is a severe dermatosis, often requiring systemic corticosteroid therapy. The attempt to find disease-modifying and corticosteroid-reducing drugs is ongoing. In this open study, a combined dermatologist-rheumatologist team approach is utilized in attempting to control pemphigus vulgaris with intramuscular gold therapy. Intra-muscular gold seems to have been a particularly useful agent.
