Abstract

AbstractA number of polymeric ketones with the carbonyl groups in the polymer backbone (ethylene‐carbon monoxide copolymers) have been converted to polyamides by means of Schmidt and Beckmann rearrangements. The high degree to which these reactions are intramolecular has permitted conversion with little loss in molecular weight.
