Abstract

Objective To investigate the curative effect of intramedullary nail fixation with minimally invasion in the treatment of multiple segmental fracture of the tibia.Methods Fifty-two cases of multiple segmental fracture of the tibia were given minimally invasive fixation under fluoroscopy.Results All patients were followed up for 12-36 months,average 18 months.All patients achieved bone union.There were no complications such as infection,nail breakage,malunion on bone nonunion occured.Two cases with knee pain and 5 cases with nail brake occurred.Conclusions Intramedullary nail fixation with minimally invasion in the treatment of multiple segmental fracture of the tibia has stable fixation,minimal invasiib and fewer complications.It is a safe and effective method for the treatment of multiple segmental fracture of the tibia.
