Abstract
To date, histologic examinations have been reported in nine larynges in which polytef (Teflon) paste has been injected. This is a report of two new cases, one in a 17-year-old boy (injected 1½ years previously), and the other in a 42-year-old woman (injected four days prior to death). The pathologist found no evidence of polytef migration into the lymphatics or blood vessels and nothing to suggest malignant or premalignant changes. This study gives further support to the benign histologic picture found in polytef intracordal injections.
