Abstract

All of the following statements regarding intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasm of the gallbladder are true EXCEPT which of the following?a.Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms may form radiographically detectable masses.b.Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms show varying degree of dysplastic changes.c.Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms are never associated with invasive carcinomas.d.Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms are usually identified in adults. Answer: c. Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms are never associated with invasive carcinomas. Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms (ICPNs) of the gallbladder are polypoid neoplasms. The neoplasms display a spectrum of dysplastic changes, ranging from low-grade to high-grade dysplasia.1Adsay V. Jang K.T.
