Abstract

An analysis is made of the conditions for three-mode and four-mode lasing stability in solid-state lasers with anisotropic cavities and intracavity second-harmonic generation in a nonlinear crystal with type II phase matching. The three-mode lasing is shown to be the least stable. A study is made of changes in the nature of the phase paths of a system when the efficiency of conversion to the second harmonic is increased.
