Abstract

Broadband time resolved dye laser intracavity absorption is a powerful method to detect very weak absorption. The purpose of this paper is to show that this method gives, like in classical absorption spectroscopy, symmetrical line shapes giving access to absolute absorption coefficients and collisional broadening coefficients. Oxygen molecular γ-band was chosen to compare the intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy (ICLAS) with the classical multipass absorption method.
