Abstract
] l ~ HABDOMYOMA is the most common intracardiac tumor 1 ~ in childhood and is frequently associated with tuberous sclerosis. These tumors are often multiple and may cause significant hemodynamic disturbances because of outflow obstruction or arrhythmias. The detection of rhabdomyoma has been improved by fetal sonography, but successful resection of such tumors is rare, t and the descriptions of intraoperative monitoiing have been limited. A case of a neonate with right atrial outflow obstruction who underwent successful tumor resection with the aid of biplane transesophageai echocardiogra: phy (TEE) is reported.
