Abstract

Plants of ten hexaploid triticale lines were cloned in two units. Clonal unit survival ranged from 70 to 100%. Within each line, significant plant to plant variation was found for height and seed weight but not for yield, number of seeds or number of heads per plant. The possible uses of these findings in breeding programs are discussed.
