Abstract
Ninety-five of 100 women treated with intra-amniotic prostaglandin F2α were successfully aborted. Various dosage schedules were followed. The effects of parity, age, dose of prostaglandin, and gestational age on the interval of time from first injection to abortion are evaluated. The type and incidence of side effects also are discussed. A comparison was made between these results and those achieved in other centers. The use of this compound is compared with hypertonic saline.
