Abstract

In our country, acute poisoning is a very common condition in emergency units. Up to a quarter of poisoned patients, go to emergencies during the first hour after poison consumption. Patient survival is not comprised in most cases. However it is mandatory to recognize as well as to know the treatment of both acute poisoning and their consequences, taking into account its frequency, high health-care expenditure and severity consequences related with a bad management of the poisoning.
