Abstract
Sucrase activity in the guinea-pig gastric mucosa was demonstrated by means of a macroscopic test 3 and 5 weeks after x-irradiation. The test was negative in non-irradiated animals. Abnormal sucrase activity was attributed to ordinary intestinal metaplasia in one animal, while sections taken from positive sites in the other animals revealed only immature epithelium.
