Abstract

Peanut is the #1 cause of fatal food-induced anaphylaxis. Intestinal barrier dysfunction is a feature of peanut allergic patients and correlates with anaphylaxis severity; its relationship to pathogenesis is unknown. We investigated intestinal barrier dysfunction in the CC027/GeniUnc mouse, which develops peanut allergy by the oral route without adjuvant.
