Abstract
The problem of interworking between systems which conform to the CCITT Recommendations for teletex service (teletex terminals), and systems which conform to the International Standards Organization standards for Open Systems Interconnection systems, is discussed. The solution proposed foresees OSI users utilizing the Virtual Terminal service. After an analysis of the problems related to this interworking, the design of a gateway is approached in terms of both architecture and mapping functions.
