Abstract
In September 2015, Terry Herbert, the metal detectorist who discovered the Staffordshire Hoard in 2009, agreed to conduct a brief interview with Maggie M. Williams via email. Below is the transcript of that interview, without edits and with heartfelt thanks to Mr. Herbert.
