Abstract

ABSTRACT Sara Sigismund is an Associate Professor at the Department of Oncology and Hemato-Oncology at the University of Milan, and a Researcher in the Department of Experimental Oncology at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan, Italy. Her research aims to understand the role of endocytosis in the regulation of EGFR signalling, focusing on non-clathrin endocytosis and its role in health and disease. In addition to running a research group, Sara is the current President of the Italian Association of Cell Biology and Differentiation (Associazione di Biologia Cellulare e del Differenziamento; ABCD). We spoke to Sara about her career path, her advice for early career researchers and her role as President of the ABCD.
