Abstract

In this interview British documentary filmmaker, Kim Longinotto discusses the production and reception of four of her feature-length films, Divorce Iranian Style (1998), Runaway (2001), Sisters In Law (2005), and The Day I Will Never Forget (2002). The conversation focuses on Longinotto's experiences of directing films in a collaborative manner and her approach to cross-cultural filmmaking. Longinotto also discusses the thematic and political concerns that inform the representation of women in her work.
