Abstract

Belinda Barnet is Senior Lecturer in Media & Communications at Swinburne University, Melbourne. She is the author of "Memory Machines: the Evolution of Hypertext" (Anthem Press UK, 2013), which can be obtained, e.g., via https://amzn.to/2KjqlYH. Alongside her research career, Dr Barnet has worked as Service Delivery Manager (Wireless Content Services) for Ericsson Australia. She convenes the Social Media Major at Swinburne (https://bit.lv/312ARJY). Her current projects include building a speech recognition program to help young children and toddlers with Cochlear Implants learn to speak, and she'd be interested in hearing from anyone working in this field. She's also investigating Shadow Data.
