He currently holds a lecturer’s appointment at the Yale University Child Study Center. He also serves as a member of the National Board of the Vera Institute of Justice and the Local Support Initiatives Corporation (LISC) and is a member of the Police Foundation. Chief Esserman has spent virtually his entire adult life in public service as a law enforcement practitioner.
