Abstract

AbstractWe have analyzed the intersubband absorption process in parabolic quantum wires in the presence of a tilted magnetic field. We show that for an increasing magnetic field, the intersubband absorption peak is shifted higher in energy and the peak amplitude is increased. In particular, it is shown that the direction of the magnetic field plays a significant role in the intersubband optical absorption. (© 2004 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
