Abstract

Brachytherapy has been historically used in a wide variety of disease sites. The advent of increasingly effective systemic agents has underlined the need for more effective local control of oligometastatic disease. The modalities currently being studied to locally control oligometastatic disease include cryotherapy, radiofrequency ablation, surgical resection, and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). The usage of brachytherapy in oligometastatic disease has been less explored. In this analysis, we review our Results for interstitial CT-guided lung brachytherapy.
