Abstract

Frankliniella occidentalis is one of the most important invasive species.F.occidentalis inevitably competes with other insects in the process of its global invasion.In this paper,the interspecific competition between F.occidentalis and other species of thrips,whitefly and spider mites were reviewed.The roles of factors,such as temperature,CO 2,host plants,pesticide,natural enemy,in the competition displacement were analyzed.The research prospects and research methods of interspecific competition were discussed.The review will lay a foundation for revealing the population dynamics of F.occidentalis in China.
