Abstract

Aim The study of the interrelation of the damage of heart, kidneys and vessels in patients with AH in presence and absence of MS. Material and methods The study included 303 patients with AH stages I–III (average age 52±18years), 110 men and 193 women. Patients were divided into 2 groups: A — in absence, B — in presence of the metabolic syndrome. All patients underwent carotid artery ultrasound, (intima-media thickness — IMT), echocardiography with study by diastolic function (DF), transmitral blood flow (TBF) and tissue Doppler measurement (TMD), glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and microalbuminuria (MAU).
