Abstract

It follows from the social essence of a person that their life depends on the conditions of social development. However, it is the personality that is the main factor in creating these social conditions of social life. The unity of human existence is revealed in the dialectical mutual influence and interrelation of the individual and the social aspects, and these aspects interpenetrate each other. The individual and the social aspects in a person are both the most important characteristic of human existence; they do not act as opposing factors, instead, they are two different sides of one essence. Therefore, their connection does not exclude contradictions between them. It is the transition of the individual aspect into the social one and vice versa in the personality that forms a universal characteristic of human existence in all historical periods of life.
