Abstract

The interrelation between the values of contact angle, peel strength, and effective surface charge density of polytetrafluoroethylene films modified by direct-current discharge at the anode and cathode has been studied. It has been found that there is a correlation between the adhesion properties of the dc discharge-treated film, the change in the contact angle, and the magnitude of the effective surface charge.
