Abstract

A possible interpretation of the reactor antineutrino anomaly as an effect of one or three sterile neutrinos is discussed. The asymmetry of the probability of muon (anti)neutrino–electron (anti)neutrino transitions and corrections to the survival probability for electron (anti)neutrinos due to the introduction of two additional sterile neutrinos are determined. The results are compared to the available experimental data.
