Abstract

In the diverse urban fabric of cities, the spaces get limited for future use and development. It is our responsibility to use the urban space for its best purpose. Every urban space has its own identity as per its psychology and character etc. Through the historical perspective urban open space transforms due to change in activities and technology. Open spaces are deteriorating day by day due to overuse, wrong use, least use, and various other evils of society. Urban open spaces (UOS) are diverse as per the diverse religion and culture (1). Various morphological determinants define the sense of place (2). UOS cannot be defined without built mass and its enclosure (1). The web of UOS and its activities helps to construct the urban structure of the city. With the involvement of the social groups, local people, and government, we can regenerate and reactivate urban open spaces.
