Abstract

The interpretation of magnetic data is very useful for exploratory target particularly, in Iron ore. In this study, we have used three techniques to locate geological contacts and major faults, namely: the Euler deconvolution, the analytic signal and the local wavenumber methods. These three techniques have been tested on synthetic models for accuracy and sensitivity, to determine the best parameters that yield a realistic interpretation. The three methods were applied to the interpretation of magnetic data from KHABR area (IRAN). This region is very suseptible to Iron mineralization. Approximately all of the studied area covered by alluviume. Based on results obtained from these techniques we recognized a magnetic anomaly and suggested three drilling points. All the three points intersec ore with 12m thickness.
