Abstract
IN a previous communication1 I asked Prof. Landé to fill out certain details of his interpretation of quantum physics, namely, the mode of action of a certain piece of apparatus I described. Dr. Phipps now suggests that I was demanding that Prof. Landé give some sort of ether type model. This was not at all my intention—I was asking him to describe the apparatus in whatever terms were appropriate to his approach. I could not see how this could consistently be achieved, and I therefore asked for enlightenment.
