Abstract

The profiles of vertical and horizontal magnetic gradients over a buried geological contact and vein have a number of significant points. A set of these adjacent points located on the abscissa of the profiles will have the same angular separation at the position of the causative source. A simple method is proposed to determine the position, depth and other parameters of the contact and the vein.
