Publication of clinical trial results in medical journals helps to inform the medical community of the efficacy and safety data available for new and existing drugs. We review the various available guidelines that relate to preparing and publishing clinical research results, explore interpretations of the guidelines, and suggest ways to apply the principles from these guidelines to the publication development process.
