Abstract

The transport coefficients of dense plasmas are treated within linear response theory. Within a virial expansion, the respective coefficients can be related to many-particle effects such as dynamic screening or self-energy. Considering the explicit results for the transport coefficients in Born approximation, for the classical domain, and for the strong-coupling regime, interpolation formulae are derived that reproduce the data available for dense plasmas within the experimental errors.
