Abstract

If we want to compute the height anomalies and the deflections of the vertical for a point where there are height differences exceeding one kilometer in the neighborhood, a very dense net of gravity values must be observed, even when the topographic corrections are used. In smoother regions, the simple Bouguer anomalies with a moderate spacing and with the estimation of the mean heights give reliable results without further reductions.
