Abstract

We have investigated the influence of a series of compositions of water-soluble polymers on the intensity of inter-particles of aqueous suspensions of hydromica. It has been shown that the modification of the surface of the particles prior to addition to the system of a flocculant makes it possible to substantially increase intensity of interparticle interaction in the disperse system. This is accompanied by aggregation of the particles and a substantial reduction of sedimentation stability of the system studied. The obtained data may be used when carrying out purification of natural and waste waters of highly disperse impurities.
