Abstract
SUMMARY The Elektronnaia biblioteka (Electronic Library) of the Faculty of History at Moscow State University (MGU) holds online texts that relate to different periods of global history. It contains about 100 texts on Russian history electronically published within the MGU project, as well as links to hundreds of other historical sources on Russian history on the Internet. Project texts are usually accompanied by short annotations with comments on the role of the document in Russian history. Another important component of the Electronic Library is an example of a topic-oriented historical Internet resource (TOHIR) on Russian/Soviet labor history. Online access to the catalog of resources within the TOHIR is provided on the basis of MySQL and PHP-scripts.
