Abstract
Vehicular-ad-hoc-networks (VANETs) have been a significant burning domain over most recent couple of years. Because of its distinctive features like utmost self-motivated topology and expectable movement, VANETs draw in such a great amount of consideration from both scholarly world and industry. VANETs are shaped by intellectual automobiles furnished with On-Board-Units (OBUs) and wireless communication gadgets. VANETs have turned out to be a vital element of intelligent transport system (ITS). The new age of the Internet of Things is motivating the development of customary VANETs into the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). This paper shows a system of IoV with prominence on layered architecture. In particular, after the foundation on development of VANETs and inspiration as well as framework of IoV is exhibited as a dissimilar vehicular Network (V-Net). The IoV incorporates 5 forms of Vehicular-communication (Vehicom); in precise, V2V, V2R, V2I of cellular systems, V2P gadgets and V2S. A six layered scheme of IoV is proposed which shows responsibility and demonstration of each layer.
