Abstract
This chapter provides insights for such a scheme from the internet of things (IoT) aspect, that is the relevant, existing IoT technologies that are available in the market. The control HyperSurface's electromagnetic is achieved through the variation of the conductivity of its switching elements. PIN diodes are mainly used as RF switching elements since their resistance can be controlled by the biasing. Controller to PIN interface is the system that is used to bias the PIN diode in order to variate its resistance. An important parameter of a digital to analog conversion (DAC) system is its resolution that is the number of bits that the DAC takes as input affects the number of discrete values that the analog voltage can take. Since the distance between controllers is short, tiles’ placement on the HyperSurface is fixed a wired network is preferable for the controller to controller communication and since there several controllers to be connected a bus network topology is required.
