Abstract

With all the convenience that comes with IoT, it is not suprising that customers are willing to share their logistics, data and very personal and detailed information with companies without much credence to privacy. However, privacy experts in the IoT community are concerned about data misuse, misappropriation and collection of irrelevant data. Although, the tradeoff from the customer’s perspective is convenient, there are those who believe that with such few built-in security features in today’s everyday IoT, which arguably, is in its nascent stage, a privacy and security catastrophe is imminent.
