Abstract

This research aims to demonstrate how the internet of things can improve the mobility of vehicular traffic in Tegucigalpa. A technological proposal that allows road decongestion in the city is presented, which was developed using a qualitative research methodology, with a descriptive design, based on expert opinion and documentation review. As a strategy, a design based on a pilot test is recommended where the technological resources, proposed and current, can be adjusted for the applicability of this type of investments and technologies that allow to alleviate the traffic congestion that the population lives day by day, and start the implementation of an Intelligent Traffic System in the city.
