Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) revolution, in cooperation with Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence (AI), plays a significant role in changing the concept of applying technology as a usual tool of computation; many domains are now ready and accepted to adapt to digital transformation. The fusi on of these fundamental concepts aids in the discovery of many other concepts, one of which is the Internet of Robotic Things (IoRT), which assists many domains in adapting to change and improving their strategies by utilizing IoRT to survive and compete in this century with other fields in terms of digital transformation. Recently, educational experts have been working hard to transform the field of education from traditional to digital using multiple approaches; these include but are not limited to blended learning, flipped learning, and one-to-one learning. One of the challenging areas in the educational domain is employing IoRT in early childhood education and behavior management. In this survey, the innovations in IoRT and human-robotic interaction (HRI) challenges are outlined, aiming to highlight the essential topics in the early childhood education. This survey will also discuss the role, applications, and influences of IoRT on children's daily life, including behavior and health issues.
