Abstract
This article summarized the preliminary progress achieved by popular science interest group of public health in a medical university in order to explore a new pattern of popular science on public health and to improve popular science education.In recent years,this interest group has explored several kinds of new media (such as micro blog,post bar,Skype and QQ) to carry out activities by overcoming the limitation of time and place and achieved initial positive feedback.It was testified that popular science activities based on internet was effective in improving students' abilities of popular science.Further study should be conducted to focus on how to control the quality of popular science and mobilize the enthusiasm of more teacher and students in medical university.
