Abstract
India has always been a hub for education and learning .The Indian higher education system has exhibited impressive and remarkable growth over the last decade to become the best higher education system in the world. In a rapidly and speedily globalizing world, it is a challenge for higher educational institutions to address sociopolitical, economic and developmental issues and their concerns. Internationalization of higher education is an impact of globalization. It integrates an international perspective into its organizational leadership, vision, and curricular goals. Higher educational institutions are likely to prepare graduates to be more competent, skilled and adaptive to the lively and dynamic global challenges. The purpose of this study is to provide suggestions in shaping internationalization in higher education to engage in more effective, future-oriented ways.
