Abstract
The compelling reason for the research is to justify the importance of internationalization for the quality improvement of higher legal education and to reveal a set of necessary measures as well. The question of internationalization of higher legal education as means for optimization is of great applicability for the universities of both Russian Federation and Republic of Qazaqstan aspiring for enhancing of their competitive capacity in the frameworks of international educational sphere. Complex goals and tasks required an interdisciplinary approach based on composition of gnoseology and synergy that facilitated fundamental analysis of the essence of internationalization and integration of legal education into international contemporary processes and allowed to combine legal and pedagogical methods in order to define the optimal internationalization strategy for quality enhancement of legal education. The article determines focus areas for internationalization of education on both state and university levels, indicates functions of the internationalization of legal education and establishes the cause-effect relation between the process of internationalization of legal education and successful politics of quality enhancement of higher education.
