Abstract
The International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) is conducting a detailed survey on land subsidence occurrence, research, and remedial activities throughout the world. The questionnaire requests information on location, causes, amounts, and rates of subsidence; problems and costs resulting from the subsidence and remedial measures taken; research completed or active; and list of publications describing the area or research.Plans call for IAHS to publish all responses received from this survey. In addition, the information will be summarized in a state of the art paper at the Second International Symposium on Land Subsidence, to be held in Anaheim, California, December 10–17, 1976.
