Abstract

The International Peace Research Association (IPRA) is a world‐wide association of researchers and educators whose work is devoted to the achievement of peace. The purpose of IPRA is to advance interdisciplinary research into the conditions of peace and the causes of war and other forms of violence. To this end IPRA encourages world‐wide co‐operation designed to assist the advancement of peace research, and in particular: (1) to promote national and international studies and teaching related to the pursuit of world peace, (2) to facilitate contacts and co‐operation between scholars and educators throughout the world, and (3) to encourage the world‐wide dissemination of results of peace research.
