Abstract

The author reviews 26 empirical studies that evaluate home-country effects on the choice of market entry mode. The analysis of available findings shows that the nationality of companies is likely to affect entry-mode strategies. However, the effect varies according to the assessment of the national environment of companies, which suggests that some cultural and economic dimensions are more relevant for this field of research than others.
