Abstract
The Subcommittee on Hydrogeological Maps of the Ground‐Water Committee, Section of Hydrology, AGU, has completed preliminary distribution of copies of the International Legend for Hydrogeological Maps. These are black and white copies of the color version of the legend that was approved earlier by the Committee on Hydrogeological Maps of the International Association of Scientific Hydrology (IASH) and the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH). Color copies of the legend are being printed by Unesco and should be available sometime this year.For those who may not have received a copy of the legend, black and white copies may be obtained by contacting A. I. Johnson, U.S. Geological Survey, Federal Center, Denver, Colorado 80225. The availability of the color copies of the legend will be announced as soon as they have been printed by Unesco.
